What is the Client Portal?
The Client Portal is a secure page where your customer can view their estimates and invoices, see your business contact details, and reach out to you — without logging into Dave.
Each client gets their own portal link. Anyone with that link can access that client's portal, so keep it private.
What clients can see
When a client opens their portal, they can:
- View all estimates sent to them
- View all invoices sent to them
- See your business contact information
- Open Contact us to get in touch with you
Enable portal access for a client
- Open the client's profile from Clients or from a project.
- Select the ⋮ menu on the client profile.
- Select Enable portal the first time you turn on access for that client.
- Copy the Portal Link or select Open Portal in New Tab to preview it.
- Send the link to your client by text or email.
After portal access is enabled, the menu option changes to Portal link so you can copy or share it again anytime.
Share portal links from estimates and invoices
You can also copy a portal link while working on a specific document:
- Open the estimate or invoice.
- Open the ⋮ menu.
- Select Copy Portal Link.
- Share the link with your client.
Estimate and invoice links take the client directly to that document inside their portal.
Revoke portal access
If you need to turn off a client's portal access, open Portal link from the client menu and select Revoke Portal Access. The old link will stop working, and you can create a new link later if needed.
