Move a project through its stages
A project’s stage describes where the job stands. It is separate from whether an estimate is approved or an invoice is paid.
- Lead: a possible job you’re discussing or quoting.
- Active: work you’re carrying out.
- Completed: the job is finished.
- Archived: work you want out of your day-to-day lists.
Change a stage
- Open the project or find its card in Projects.
- Select its current status or open Project actions.
- Choose the stage that matches the job and confirm if prompted.
- Check the project’s new status. If it disappears from a filtered list, change the filter to the stage you selected.
Before marking a job completed, check its invoices and any remaining scheduled work. Changing the project stage does not record a payment.
Find archived jobs
Use the Archived filter in Projects. Open the job to review its history. To resume work, use its status or restore action to return it to the appropriate stage.
Archiving a project is different from deleting it. Read any confirmation carefully, especially if you’re trying to keep a job’s records for later.
