Repeat, reschedule, or cancel an event
Repeat an event
- Create or edit an event.
- Select Repeat and choose how often it happens.
- Choose an end date if the work should stop repeating, or leave it set to continue.
- Save, then check the next occurrence on your calendar.
You can also repeat reminders.
Change the time or details
Open the event and select the edit action. Update the date, time, team, or other details, then save. On the web, you can also drag an event in the calendar; in Day or Week view, dragging its lower edge changes its duration.
For a recurring event, read the scope choice carefully: update just this event or this and all future events. Changing the repeat pattern itself applies to this and future occurrences.
Review the notification choice when offered. Saving a schedule change silently is different from notifying the people involved.
Cancel scheduled work
Open the event’s edit form and choose its delete action. Confirm the event and, for a repeating event, whether you mean this occurrence or this and future occurrences. Check the calendar afterward.
Deleting a calendar event does not delete its project or cancel an invoice. Google events must be changed in Google Calendar.
If there is a conflict warning
Review the overlapping work before continuing. If Dave says external availability is incomplete, it has not confirmed that time is free. Check the connected calendar before choosing to save anyway.
