Check payments, deposits, and refunds
Check the invoice first
Open the invoice and review its payment history, amount paid, and remaining balance. A checkout message or a client saying they paid is a reason to check the record, not to manually record the same online payment again.
If a payment is processing or pending, check again later. Bank payments may not complete immediately. If it fails, confirm the invoice balance before asking the customer to try another method.
Find a deposit
Open Online Payments. Use the payments and deposits view available for Dave Payments, or View Payouts & Settings for Stripe. Check the deposit’s status and destination there.
The date a customer pays and the date money arrives in your bank can differ. The payment settings or provider view is the place to check the current information for that payment.
Refunds and corrections
Read the action label carefully. Record a refund records a refund in Dave; it does not by itself send money back. If you need to return money, use the supported refund flow for the original payment or contact support, then confirm both the financial result and the invoice record.
For an offline payment, confirm the money you received before using Record Payment. If you recorded the wrong amount or recorded a payment twice, use the correction action available in its payment history or ask support for help.
When contacting support, include the invoice number, payment date, amount, and status you see. Do not email full card or bank-account details.
